The Earring Tree

Trochetia boutoniana, (known as Boucle d'oreille - the Earring Tree), is a flower so rare that it can only be found on the very top of one mountain on the tiny Indian Ocean island of Mauritius; the same mountain that witnessed a terrible tragedy in the history of British Empire and slavery, a story it now wants to tell.
